Your next steps depend on when you return to work...

If you return to active work status by January 1st

Welcome back!

The elections you made during Annual Enrollment will be effective January 1st.

If you return to active work status after January 1st

Only your new medical, dental and vision elections will be effective on January 1st.

You will have an opportunity to change your other benefit elections in the Benefits Portal within 30 days of the date you return to work. 

Certain benefits that can only be elected during Annual Enrollment and require active work status on January 1 may not be available to you.

If you return to active work status by January 1st

If you want to review and change your other benefits, you will need to record a life event in the Benefits Portal within 30 days of the date you return to work.

Certain benefits that can only be elected during Annual Enrollment and require active work status on January 1 may not be available to you.

If you wait to make elections

Your 2025 Medical, Dental and Vision elections will be reinstated for 2026, as will your other benefit elections except for FSA, HSA and Vacation Buy (which will not carry over)*.

*Inpats' 2025 FSA elections will carry over to 2026.

If you want to change your other benefits when you return from Leave, submit a Life Event in the Benefits Portal within 30 days of the date you return to work.
