Prevention can make sure you don't miss out on fun or work and empower you to live a longer, happier, healthier life. That's why A-B makes flu shots, biometric screenings and mammograms as convenient as possible.
Why get a flu shot?
- Fever, cough, fatigue...who has time for that? Say no thank you to the flu.
- Flu shots are offered at no cost to employees, spouses and domestic partners without requiring A-B medical plan enrollment and we offer three convenient ways to protect against the flu.
How can you and your spouse/domestic partner get flu shots?
- Register for an onsite flu shot event during the Fall when A-B brings flu shots onsite.
- Once vouchers are available in early September, use a voucher at any major pharmacy chain and most independent pharmacies nationwide (not just Walgreens).
- Get a flu shot at your Medical Provider.
Onsite Flu Shots
- Register online for a flu shot appointment.
- If you like to be prepared, you can print and complete a consent form in English or Spanish or complete your form at the event.
- Flu Vaccine Information Statements are available in English or Spanish.
- If you need proof of vaccination, take a picture of your consent form or request documentation after the event.
Vouchers
- Access vouchers here when vouchers are available in early September.
- Enter your name and email address to receive your voucher via email.
- Present your printed or mobile voucher and your ID at a participating pharmacy (which now includes all major pharmacy chains) to receive a free quadrivalent flu shot.
At a Medical Provider
If you, your covered spouse/domestic partner or kiddo want to get a flu shot too, great thinking! It's easy to get a flu shot (and free) with A-B medical and prescription drug coverage.
You can either:
- Get a flu shot at your usual medical provider.
- Confirm a pharmacy is covered by logging into your Express Scripts account and clicking "Find a Pharmacy". When you go to get the flu shot, ask the pharmacy to submit the cost to Express Scripts if possible.

- Prevention saves you money in the long run; it enables you to stop serious conditions before they become life-threatening and costly.
- Looking at your health can be scary for all of us, but prevention does help you live longer (and unlock a future with more cheers).
