Please follow the steps below within 30 days of your date of hire (start date) to enroll in benefits for 2023 and 2024.

Enroll within the Benefits Portal

If you want to enroll in A-B benefits, please make sure to access the Benefits Portal and enroll for both 2023 and 2024 within 30 days of your hire/start date.

Once you enroll in benefits, the coverage you elected for this year will be effective day one.

If it is your first time logging into the 2023 Benefits Portal, you will need to Register for an account.

If this is your first time entering the Portal, Register first.

What can you expect from the enrollment process?

When you enter the Benefits Portal, you will see a new hire event that enables you to enroll in benefits for this year. Once you submit 2023 elections, the 2023 new hire event will conclude and a second event will appear to enable you to enroll in 2024 benefits.

Please make sure to submit benefit elections for both 2023 and 2024 within 30 days of your start date.

Are you eligible for Vacation Buy and you want to purchase 2023 vacation days?

Vacation Buy is only available during Annual Enrollment (until 11/18 at 11:59pm CT), so please make your 2023 vacation buy elections during Annual Enrollment if you wish to buy vacation.

If you're hired on 11/20/2023, you must submit your benefit elections for 2023 and 2024 within 30 days, by 12/20/2023.

Is there anything else you should know?

Vacation Buy is only available for eligible employees during Annual Enrollment through November 18, 2023.

Please think carefully before setting a Flexible Spending Account election close to the end of the year - don't forget that FSAs are use it or lose it and contributions should be spent during the plan year.

If you are eligible, are hired after 6/1/2022 and you enroll in an A-B Medical Plan, you will automatically unlock 2022 (prorated) and 2023 Flex Credits. If you don’t enroll in an A-B Medical Plan, A-B does not reward you with Flex Credits.
