Paid Time Off

At A-B, we're fast moving and have high expectations. To perform your best, rest, refresh and enjoy time away from work. Take advantage of the Paid Time Off (PTO) offered by A-B to eligible employees along with floating holidays.

Check out Workday for more details about the vacation days or floating holidays offered to you!

Sick time

When you're feeling under the weather, time away to recover can be essential. To enable you to take time away and heal from short-term illness or care for an unwell child, spouse or domestic partner living in your home, A-B offers eligible employees up to 10 days of sick time.

Wondering how much time is offered? Check out Workday or take a look at the policy on the Tap Room.

If you've used all of your sick days and have a condition where you may need to take more time away, you may want to apply for Short Term Disability.

Don't forget...

If you're using sick time for travel under Cigna's expanded travel benefit (expanded up to $10,000) to receive care for in-network services, including gender affirmation services, when treatment is not available within 60 miles of your primary home residence, you do not have to share the condition with your manager when you request sick days. Please take a look at the policy on the Tap Room for more information.

Short-term Disability

Short-term Disability is available through MetLife and offers income protection to eligible employees if you become ill (including pregnancy) or injured - a non-work related injury - and are unable to work for a limited period of time, which could be up to 26 weeks.

To review your benefits, access MetLife's portal here.

If you need to file a leave request, please let your manager know 30 days before your leave begins (or as far in advance as is practical). You don't have to share your actual condition with your manager.

To submit a request, call MetLife at (800) 396-8621 or submit your request online.
