If you lose coverage for another plan
Recently covered under a different medical plan and no longer eligible?
As a result of this “Lose Eligibility for Outside Coverage” qualifying life event, you have 30 days from the date of the event to submit updated elections.
Don’t wait, otherwise your next opportunity to enroll yourself or eligible dependents in A-B benefits will be during Annual Enrollment for the next plan year.
If your spouse/domestic partner loses coverage under another plan and you wish to add them to A-B Benefits
During flu season, A-B makes getting a flu shot convenient for employees, spouses and domestic partners, regardless of whether they're enrolled in A-B medical plans. Choose the most convenient option for you - at an onsite event or at the pharmacy of your choice.
To make getting a recommended preventive mammogram as easy as going to the cafeteria for lunch, A-B is bringing a mammogram van to St. Louis. Register for a screening by calling the number shown here. Female employees, spouses and domestic partners at other locations can find the most convenient in-network provider on mycigna.com.
Breast cancer impacts 1 out of 8 women and early treatment is more effective, so if you're a woman over 40 years old, it's worth taking 15-30 minutes to get a mammogram.
If you’re currently enrolled in A-B benefits and you need to add an eligible dependent - spouse, domestic partner, or child(ren) - because they lost coverage from another employer, you have 30 days from the date of the event to submit a life event and updated elections.
